Crisis. We hear about a crisis situation on the news or from a friend or on the radio virtually every day. In France, in Italy, in Baton Rouge, in Dallas and multiple other places…fear and shock are becoming a norm and the instability of life is fearfully present. Crisis can be described as the culmination of a series or sequence of events. What we can hope for/work for is a turning point, a change, a realization that better actions can keep these crisis situations from reaching full fruition. Our future depends on step by step stopping the word “crisis” from being such a large portion of our thoughts and conversation.

In the video preceding this post, The Eagles sing their Grammy winning song titled “Hole in the World”. This currently relevant song was written by Don Henley and the late Glenn Frey in response to the 9/11 crisis. The words speak to…

Legitimisation of Mental Health. #TriggerWarning.

I totally agree. Take care, Dolphin xx

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

You can’t see mental health problems so are they really there? That’s a question that’s been popping up on my Twitter and Facebook feeds, a lot lately. Mental health problems are to do with the mind. Some people say not the ‘physical brain’, but the way we feel and act. It isn’t about neurological conditions, but it’s how we perceive the world and how we behave, feel and think in it. I can understand both sides of the coin, as usual. But I want to go back to this question of mental health problems and whether just because they don’t always present with physical symptoms – are they there in the first place?

Life

Hello,

So I asked my little sister for a word to base today’s post on this chosen word is “Life.”

So here we go…

Mentally I am not the most stable  but that’s ok it will get better.

Physically all is good and there is nothing in particular currently worrying me.

Now, what have I been up to?

I have been to the cinema and watched Ghost Busters which I really enjoyed.

I have also been shopping and bought a jumper.

I can’t wait to see Finding Dory with friends.

I am excited because on Monday I am returning for the final time to Over The Wall  which is a week full of challenges, new friends and adventure. It is a shame that this will be my final camp, but the memories will remain and help me to keep strong when I am struggling. A post will follow when I am home to tell you all the things I get up to.

I am also excited for my visit to an animal shelter later today  with my sister Zahra and mum.

Looking into the future still scares me but I am planning to get a part time job whilst I am looking for a full-time job.

In September I plan  to help at a local rainbow unit as well as taking a more active leadership role amongst the Senior Section members by running the evening every other week.

I would love to know what you have planned for the rest of the summer as well as what your plans are for September.

Take care,

Dolphin xx
