I hope everyone is doing well. I have recently finished the above book. I wanted to share my view on it. This book is about a young boy and his mother learning to cope with his diagnosis of Autism.
I really enjoyed reading it and was impressed by the sheer dedication that Jenny shows no matter what situation arrives she keeps her head up and continues to fight for her son Evan. The pain and victories I found myself reacting too just as much as she does. I learnt a lot about the condition which is great because several friends have the condition.
This has come at the right time as I needed something to show me that so long as I keep fighting I can get through. There will always be obstacles in life and you just have to remember that no matter how hard things are you are strong.
Life is a big big challenge we are all fighting lots of battles some physical some mental and some are situational but nothing is permeant.
Sometimes we need to step back and assess the situation from the bigger picture. As well as celebraing the little sucessess everyday.
I am aware I have been very quiet and I apologise life has been hectic.
Back in March I began something called eco bricking. I was completely new to the whole concept. It has now been a few months and I thought I would let you know how this is going.
Eco bricks are a partial solution to our huge plastic problem.
Over the last few months, I have been part of a small group of people who have been cutting, stuffing and weighing plastic into bottles. In order for these bottles to become building blocks they must be a specific weight based on their capacity.
Today our first creation was formed.
The picture above is a stool. Made of twelve two litre bottles. Its completely stable and I have sat on it. Despite the look it is comfortable to sit on. As a community we are hoping to make a bench out side the Church centre but this needs 1,000 bricks (bottles). This is a long term solution but the amazing thing is these can be re used as many times as we would like.

I can’t wait to keep you all updated on our progress.
